Kadiak, LLC , a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking an Operations Assistant to support Kadiak and our government customer in Anchorage, AK.

The Operations Assistant is responsible for administrative functions associated with Kadiak LLC’s tribal court projects and will provide administrative support for Kadiak’s leadership team in Anchorage.

  • Maintain a professional and efficient office environment.

  • Provides excellent customer service while promoting good public relations by providing information and assistance.

  • Provide monthly reports to the customer with direction from the Tribal Courts Assessments Project Manager.

  • Review invoices for accuracy.

  • Maintain consistent communication and outreach with Tribes and tribal entities.

  • Coordinate rural travel logistics for team members.

  • Maintain records and documents related to the contract.

  • Responsible for word processing including but not limited to preparation of correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.

  • Responsible for maintaining master calendars.

  • Responsible for organization and management of the Tribal Courts Project documents.

  • Responsible for assisting in preparation of training manuals and documents and assisting in design of each training module.

  • Review and recommend changes to documents.

  • Occasional travel to both rural and urban communities to assist in programs.

  • Maintain master contacts list and various event mailing lists.

  • Responsible for reviewing correspondence, reports, manuals, spreadsheets and other business documents.

  • Maintain form documents and templates.

  • Complete expense reports.

  • Interface with customers from time to time.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

  • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience.

  • Associate degree or higher or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with no decrease in productivity.

  • Strong computer skills with a high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SharePoint, and Adobe products.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Excellent organization skills and detail oriented.

  • Culturally sensitive and have knowledge of rural Alaska Native communities.

  • Ability to maintain a valid Driver’s License.

  • Ability to work in excess of 40-hour week if necessary.

  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment.

  • Dependable Attendance for a standard workday with desired availability during regular work hours.

Office Location and Travel

This position is in Anchorage, AK. Some telework will be allowable contingent on supervisor approval.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
