Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leaders and business units to identify and understand their reporting and analytics needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Manage the deployment of cloud-based data solutions and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Design and develop efficient data pipelines, data warehouses, and data models in cloud environments to enable seamless data integration and analysis.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies, and translate them into actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Create intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using business intelligence tools to present data in a clear and concise manner, facilitating easy data interpretation and consumption.

  • Establish robust reporting mechanisms, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve reporting processes and address evolving needs.

  • Solid Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing complex datasets, deriving meaningful insights, and identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrates proficiency in working with a variety of business intelligence tools, cloud technologies, and data visualization platforms to effectively design, develop, and implement data solutions.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms. Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including executive leaders, business units, and technical teams.

  • Problem-solving Aptitude: Resourceful problem solver capable of identifying and addressing challenges related to data analysis, reporting, and data solution development.

  • Adaptability and Innovation: Adapts quickly to changing priorities and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strives for continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data analysis and reporting technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years information technology experience

  • 7+ years of experience in health care/managed care/health plan setting

  • 5+ years of enterprise data management experience in AWS/Azure/Snowflake OR AWS/Azure/Snowflake certification

  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise system migrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner or Product Manager

  • Solid written communication skills; effective and persuasive in both written and oral communication

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
