Duke Realty Customer Account Representative-Commercial Real Estate in Indianapolis, Indiana


Duke Realty, one of the largest commercial real estate companies in the United States with industrial properties in 20 major U.S. cities, has an opportunity for a Customer Account Representative to join our team in our Indianapolis, IN office. Candidates must be attracted to a fast paced environment where responsiveness and customer service are highly valued. This position will work closely with the tenants and other interdepartmental groups to ensure the accuracy and the integrity of tenant A/R balance. A predisposition towards teamwork and personal responsibility will be critical to a candidate’s success. In addition responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the daily collection of respective markets open AR. Including updating system statuses, notes unidentified cash posting, and assisting tenants with payment options.

  • Customer Service – develop and maintain strong relationships with our external and internal customers, complete requests timely and accurately, ensuring that they are providing adequate service to our customers.

  • Work with inter departmental associates to complete administrative tasks needed for follow up with tenants and to resolve collection and payment disputes

  • Provide feedback on markets and collection progress for reporting throughout the month

  • Build and maintain effective communication with other departments.

  • Adheres to all Sarbanes Oxley controls outlined for the Lease Revenue Department.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by Manager.


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Three year customer services experience required. Background in accounts receivable, collections, and lease administration is preferred.

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.

  • Possess strong initiative and effective organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of professionals.

  • Must be able to work overtime on an as needed basis.
