The Data and Statistics Analyst role forms an integral part of our statistical forecasting initiatives within SAP IBP and will be primarily focused on executing and supporting key tasks in the statistical forecasting process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the process to generate statistical forecasts on a monthly basis. You will be expected to participate in the evaluation / review of forecast performance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to increase the accuracy of statistical forecasting. The forecasting process is primarily conducted within SAP IBP, though some evaluation and analysis may be executed in Excel and / or PowerBI.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in executing and managing the entire statistical forecasting process within SAP IBP, this includes from history cleansing to statistical forecast generation and analysis.

  • Validate outlier correction, time series analysis and segmentation performed in SAP IBP and identify need for business input and/ or adjustments in the model or parameters.

  • Ensure generation of statistical forecasts regularly in SAP IBP, including successful execution of all related batch jobs and report any issues encountered.

  • Monitor, analyze, and improve performance of statistical forecasting regularly by reviewing SAP IBP alerts and employing advanced data analysis techniques.

  • Develop and maintain robust statistical forecast performance reports for tracking statistical forecasting accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

  • Tune statistical models in SAP IBP to improve statistical forecast performance.

  • Effectively gather business insights from Demand Managers to drive statistical forecasting performance improvement.

  • Act as a champion for the global adoption of statistical forecasting.

  • Identify and document SAP IBP configuration changes needed to address business and/or process needs to facilitate statistical forecast adoption and performance improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, or data analytics.

What Skills You Need:

  • 3-5 years of experience with data analysis, preferably in supply chain functions and / or statistical forecasting.

  • 5+ years of experience conducting data analysis to generate insights with demonstrated proficiency in statistical forecasting techniques.

  • 1-3 years of experience working with and configuring SAP IBP

  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, Python, and other data manipulation tools

  • Basic knowledge of the Crop Protection business and typical product demand profiles

  • Proactive and collaborative approach to working with leaders across the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Solid communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
